About BAC 5K

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their potential in school and in their community. Diagnoses of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder have risen steadily from 1 in 150 in the year 2000, to 1 in 59 today.
The need now, more than ever, is life-enhancing intervention services to educate and improve outcomes for children and families living with ASD though evidence-based intervention services.

The Brooklyn Autism Center runs a full day, twelve-month program for children 5-21 years of age utilizing evidence based practices. Our school creates a community that embraces the unique abilities of each student and provides solutions and support giving them the opportunity to learn, contribute and live life to their full potential.

We're thrilled to announce the broadening of our mission over the coming year by expanding to a new space in our same Downtown Brooklyn home, tripling our current footprint!
Dollars raised from this event will ensure continued transformative educational programming including accessible arts engagement activities, adaptive technology to improve communication, fitness and recreational equipment, socialization programming and new vocational training opportunities.

Please support our long-term commitment to our children and their families by joining us on this special day on Sunday, May 19th

About Brooklyn Autism Center

The Brooklyn Autism Center (BAC) is a non-profit school dedicated to providing high-quality education to students with autism. We believe all children are unique and individualized instruction is essential to their growth. Our overall mission is to develop the most individualized and meaningful programming to support the lives of our students and their families.

Our caring professionals focus on each student to enhance and foster his or her maximum potential. We feel strongly that teaching in school must be generalized to the home and community for our students to be successful, and we continually strive to provide a variety of experiences for our students. We foster an inspiring and caring learning environment in which students are nurtured by an incredibly talented educational team so they can grow as learners and citizens of the community at large.
